Going Baroque
The baroque guitar is a favourite of mine, as I was always a fan of Johann Sebastian Bach and the whole baroque period, but also appreciate the differing construction and characteristics (concerning the sound etc.). My newest addition to my guitar collection also happens to be a baroque guitar, which was built in Málaga. With this new guitar, I‘m looking forward to realize baroque projects and pieces.

International Folkwang Guitar Festival
Visiting multiple guitar festivals and competitions is a typical part of the life of a classical guitarist. This time the festival not only took place at the university where I study myself I also had the honor to contribute a composition of mine. As other compositions too, my one piece dealt with topics like war and remembrance.
Starting as a fragment of a modern and atonal sounding piece it continuous to develop and unfold into a baroque inspired fugue, a favorite of mine. The whole piece is made out of eleven pieces where each segment unravels itself even more until the fugue arrives: perfectly tonal but disturbed and distressed, like an old song from a shredded disc or an old idea which was never thought through.

Saitenweise
I already played concerts in the rococo hall at my hometown abbey Kloster Kamp when I was learning at my local music school. To extend my expertise I organized a double concert with the caption Saitenweise. It was a collection with traditional guitar pieces from renaissance up to romanticism. Baroque pieces were played with a baroque guitar and I used the time between the pieces to explain the historical context.
Undoubtedly we have no questions to ask which are unanswerable. We must trust the perfection of the creation so far, as to believe that whatever curiosity the order of things has awakened in our minds, the order of things can satisfy. Every man’s
condition is a solution in hieroglyphic to those inquiries he would put.

Glanz und Gloria
The connection between music, art and other artistries is well-known and I got to be a part of a light construction show by accompanying the art with musical impressions.
ÖKOSYSTEM
Positive growth.
Nature, in the common sense, refers to essences unchanged by man; space, the air, the river, the leaf. Art is applied to the mixture of his will with the same things, as in a house, a canal, a statue, a picture.
But his operations taken together are so insignificant, a little chipping, baking, patching, and washing, that in an impression so grand as that of the world on the human mind, they do not vary the result.
